Barbara Test is a retired English and special education teacher. She has been involved in writing, performing and work shopping poetry for the last 15 years. She has also acted as a poetry networker,  keeping the public informed of poetry events and workshops in both the Denver area (her permanent home) and the Black Hills of South Dakota where she resides part of the year. She is a member of the Poetry Society of Colorado and the Colorado state Columbine Poets.

Barbara Test  published a short chapbook entitled Sometimes a Piece of Life in 2OO3 and a 2nd chapbook, Raw Potatoes in 2011. Several of her poems have been winners in various contests. Her poetry has been published in the following:
